TERMS & CONDITIONS

This statement was last updated on 19/05/2025.

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of our study abroad advisory and placement services ("we," "our," "us"). By using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Definitions

  • "Client" or "Student": The individual using our services

  • "Partner School": Any school or institution we recommend or facilitate enrolment into

  • "Program": The specific study abroad course, tour, or placement a student chooses

3. Eligibility

Our services are available to individuals aged 11 and over. Parents or legal guardians must approve all applications for minors.

4. Scope of Services

We offer personalised school matching, support with application paperwork, and pre-departure guidance. Additional services such as English preparation, consultations, or access to support groups may be offered as optional extras. Our role is advisory only. We assist in matching students with suitable programs based on information provided but do not guarantee admission, visa approvals, program outcomes, or personal satisfaction with any program. We do not act as a travel agent or financial intermediary. We do not receive, hold, or forward tuition payments. All fees are paid directly to the Partner School.

5. Application Process

Our process may include a free consultation, followed by needs analysis, school matching, and support throughout enrollment. Final decisions rest with the Partner School.

6. Fees and Payment Terms

  • In most cases, we do not charge students directly. If a service fee is applicable (for example, for additional consulting or support services), it will be clearly communicated in writing before payment is requested.

  • Payments must be made in the currency and method specified.

  • School/program fees are paid directly to the institution or as directed by us in accordance with the school’s policies.

7. School Program Fees, Changes & Cancellations

  • Each Partner School has its own rules for deposits, changes, and cancellations.

  • We will provide the relevant terms from the school before you confirm enrollment.

  • We are not responsible for decisions made by Partner Schools or losses due to their changes.

8. Refund Policy

  • Refunds for program fees follow the policies of the Partner School and not our own. Students must agree to those separately.

  • Our service fees (if applicable) may be refundable or non-refundable depending on the type of service and when cancellation occurs. This will be clearly stated before payment is made.

9. Travel, Insurance, and Visa Responsibilities

  • Students and their families are responsible for securing valid travel documents, visas, and insurance.

  • We may assist with guidance, but final responsibility rests with the student and their family.

10. Student Conduct Expectations

Students must comply with the behavioral policies of their host school and local laws. We reserve the right to end our support if a student is found violating key terms or behaving in a harmful way.

11. Limitation of Liability

We are not liable for: school decisions, visa denials, border control issues, flight delays, lost luggage, illness, injury, behavioral misconduct abroad, or dissatisfaction with any program. In the case of medical emergencies, behavioral incidents, or third-party misconduct, we are not liable for actions taken by Partner Schools, travel providers, or external organizations. Students and families are strongly encouraged to maintain comprehensive travel and medical insurance coverage.

12. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for disruptions caused by natural disasters, war, epidemics, or other uncontrollable events.

13. Privacy

We handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available on our website and must be reviewed before proceeding with enrollment support.

14. Use of Student Stories and Images

From time to time, we may use anonymised student feedback, experiences, or images for promotional or informational purposes. We will take reasonable steps to obtain consent when using identifiable personal information. By engaging our services, you grant us permission to use anonymised versions of your feedback or non-identifying images unless you explicitly opt out in writing.

15. Intellectual Property

Any materials created by us (videos, PDFs, worksheets) are for client use only and may not be shared or resold.

16. Third-Party Services

We may refer or link to third-party services, but we do not control their terms. Clients must assess those separately.

17. Dispute Resolution

We aim to resolve complaints amicably. If this is not possible, disputes will be handled under Japanese law.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any legal action must be brought in the courts of Japan.
